If I train more, will I look and perform better? Myth
Generally speaking, if you decide to increase the intensity of the workout, then you should decrease the amount of training. Thus, volume and intensity share an inverse relationship. Simply avoid increasing both variables, and reduce your risk for injury and burn out.
The 10-20-30 concept improves both a person’s running performance and health, despite a significant reduction in the total amount of training.
Working out too frequently (without appropriate rest), too long, and too intensely will ultimately affect your health negatively… Keep it simple, devise a plan.
